BACK IN THE SWING
Well I'm back into getting entries onto the blogsite. Like I said before, the month of December was crazy! Weddings, coprorate parties, portfolios, and I managed to find some time for a few fun shots like this one to the right. I was driving home one evening and saw this Starbucks Coffee shop. It is a brand new store just built several months ago in my neighborhood. I was truly impressed with the Christmas Light display and decided to bang off a few shots. I dropped by my house and picked up a tripod and headed back to set up. I was going to wait until they closed, but thought the people and cars gave the shot more depth. I bumped up the ISO a little and then I dragged the shutter to get that warm look from the Christmas lights. Once I printed the shot as an 11 x 14, I framed it in a black wood frame and it looks really good. This is something I really like to do, spur of the moment creativity. Now it's time to gear up for 2007. This will be the year I leave my "day job" with the city. I hope it means that I can devoted more time to this kind of creative work and this art of photography. Good luck to you and Happy New Year!
